Where has the time gone....

It seems forever since I have updated everyone on the life and times of Miss Riley Kait. She is getting sooo BIG these days. Potty training.. picture of perfect health and beauty. She is our angel.

She was diagnosed with a mild SVAS for my other Williams mommies who check this post out. And we go every 6 months for a recheck. No changes in physical activities though. Which is a blessing because nothing gets in this little ones way.

We will hopefully be moving into a new home here shortly and will have many new pictures with the up and coming holidays.

Peace and much love

Who is this beautiful little girl??.....

She is amazing, she is funny, she is silly and most of all she's ours. I could never have asked for anything more perfect.

Riley is doing awesome these days.. we've sadly cut out most of our physical therapy and miss seeing Mrs. Peggie every other week. But in doing so it shows that our little girl who was a noodle for the first year of her life, is now a running, jumping, scooting... rotten little monster. AND this is something that we are so happy to have seen her accomplish.

Her eyes are doing great!! The tube is out.. and so are the infections so far. (knock on wood) She has an occupational therapist as well, so far she says she is doing well too.

SOOO .. life is good for Riley right now and we'll let you guys know how her next evaluation went soon.

Enjoy the pics!!

I L-O-V-E this picture. It has caught her being the cutest little monster known to man. BUT, just letting everyone know what is going on in "The Life of Riley"...we went for our consult the other day and are now scheduled for surgery on the 7th of July. They are going to try and probe again and if that doesn't work then they will start the other procedure.

This consists of making a small incision on the side of her nose and making a small hole in the bone where they can construct a duct for drainage. She will be bruised for about a week and will be sedated obviously for the procedure.

Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

We love you guys!

P.S.

Congratulations Austin and Happy Birthday Jeromy!

It's finally over...for now

Well everything went great yesterday. No glaucoma, No glasses, No more blockage in the left tear duct... BUT the right eye not so good. NOT too terribly bad either though. We're being referred to a plastic surgeon to correct the duct.
There is no openning to the nasal duct on that side, so they have to make one. This explains all the eye infections and irritation that Lil' Miss has had, and as nervous as we are about this next procedure...we're sure that she will be in a much more comfortable state once it is done.
SOOO, thank you for all the prayers and thoughts that were sent our way.

On another note here are some of her beautiful Easter pictures. We would have loved to get one with the actual bunny...but that didn't work out soo well. Mommy even petted the bunny. Riley seen him, grabbed my neck and started to scream "EEEEEEEE!!!!" Funny, Funny, Funny!

Sleepin' SweetWell everything has been going pretty well lately. Riley is doing great, some allergy issues like everyone else...BUT nothing serious. The impending surgery is next Tuesday. We think she'll do fine, we're just nervous like any other parents would be.
I just wanted to post some new pictures since it has been about a month since the last one was up....

THE Pony Tail...

We have been trying since the day this little girl was born to give her a pony tail AND we have finally achieved our goal.
This very cute little rubberband (which is green I may add, St. Patty's Day) is courtesy of her Mommy's braces. They make the perfect size elastic for a little girls head.
We just wanted to share the excitement with all who may care to know the little things that make my day and our daughters hair just that much cuter.

On another note...Riley's eye surgery is scheduled for April 11th. We'll keep everybody posted as the time comes closer.
God Bless and a little "hallelujah!" for little rubber bands.

A Date with the ER...
Oh the things you can find to do in the Emergency Room for 4 hours...when you have a sick baby and your nephew in tow. We talked about TV, broke out the camera, snuck in some snacks and everything else you could imagine. GOOD thing Riley just ended up with a stomach virus. She gave us all a scare though.

KISSY! KISSY!
With Valentine's Day fastly approaching, we just wanted to send out a little love to all of our friends and family. We consider this one of the holidays that represents a little of what our baby girl is all about.
Never failing to bring a little happiness to everyone she meets. She makes every day brighter. Kisses and hugs seem to be her motto at the moment. Now that she knows one of her lips greatest uses, there is never a lack of love to go around.

With love, hugs, kisses and a cherry on top.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

A Birthday Story...
Once upon a time there was a little princess named Riley Kait and her birthday was coming up. She wanted a party with all her family and friends sooo bad, but she didn't know how to do it all by herself.

Her Mommy and Daddy told her to close her eyes and make a wish, and if she truly wanted it, that it would come true. So she did as she was told and said "DADADA, MAMAMA, Smack!!" and waited to see what would happen...

Sure enough when she opened her eyes, she was surrounded by beautiful packages and everyone she loved. And they were all there for HER!!

Riley Kait (Lil' Q as her friends call her) was so excited she didn't know what to do. She got toys to play with, books to read, clothes to wear, babies to love and even a pair of cowgirl boots. WOO HOO!!

Next thing she knew her Mommy was wisking her up and putting her in her special birthday princess highchair, and in front of the little Queen she placed a pretty pink ball with something on top.

Miss Riley stuck her hand into the treat and tasted it...it was good, so good in fact that she made a HUGE mess. She got cake all over her face, hands, hair...even in her nose. (See her not wanting to share with King Daddy?)

After that was over Queen Mommy took her to the bathroom and and placed her in the royal tub. The little princess rather liked the chocolate goo. But it was also nice to be squeaky clean.

When the movie was over and all her friends had left, she took a bottle... and Princess Riley Kait Davis of Jeffersonia took the longest nap recorded in all baby history (for her anyway.) She and her Mommy went to sleep together on the sofa and she dreamed about the very best first birthday she ever had.
THE END

P.S. We just want to say thank you to everyone who celebrated this special day with us. Our baby girl is getting to be a big one. On this day she finally mastered the art of crawling forward and the day after she sat up all by herself from laying in the floor. Her newest triumph is waving (wether it be forward OR backwards) and yelling "EYEEEEE!!" Too cute. But again...

"Thank You"

OHHH!! The beauty of healthy ears...
and a little bit of spaghetti on the face too. We love spaghetti, MMMMMMM "smack" "smack" as Riley puts it.
We are so happy to be feeling better. It's amazing what a little bit of medicine can do for you. We go for our check-up on Wednesday and that Friday our Little Monster will be 1 year old.
It makes you a little sad to think in another year she'll be 2. But where would all of our mothers be if we all stayed infants forever. Probably a little crazy!
We hope everyone had a fabulous New Year and can stick to those resolutions...(I know I went by McDonalds earlier, FRENCH FRIES mmmm "smack" "smack")

On our way to school...Lil' Miss isn't feeling so great lately. We have a double ear infection and no sleep. Making Mommy's days very long.
But we love to take our medicine.
Thank goodness.
Have a blessed Holiday!!

Waiting on Santa...
is sooo hard to do. We put up the tree last week and have the presents wrapped. What better place for a picture. This little elf decided to get in on the action and try to open a few (notice the little bit of drool.)
We just wanted to let everyone know we love you and hope you have a Merry Christmas. Take care and enjoy the season.
Riley is on her way to crawling and is enjoying every minute of it. Hopefully by our next post she will be into everything. (We hope)
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Valdosta

We went to Valdosta in October to see Aunt Patty, Kevin, Kristian, Griffin, Granny and Boog. While down there we all went to the water/amusement park Wild Adventures. Here is Riley and her Mommy(Becca) taking a break from the sun in the shade. It was in the 80's, in the middle of October!!

Daddy(Kyle) took Lil' Miss in the kiddie area and though not too sure at first we think she ended up having fun. The long nap afterwards kinda gave that one away.

She even got her picture taken with the Wild West show guys.

We had such a great time with the family and wish they were closer.

We'll see you guys soon.

Tricks and Treats

Halloween 2005!!! We had so much fun at our Auntie Lisa's house. All the ghouls and goblins (and clowns) were out. BUT never fear...Colbey was near, this rough and tough football player was there to protect us. (Mammie and Uncle Dewayne also tagged along the creepy streets from house to house.) Riley even had a lollipop out of her bag. Try taking that away from someone who has had maybe one before that. MMMMMMM... Lemony!

ALL THE KIDS

CHECK OUT THIS HAIRDO!!

We'll keep everyone updated on Thanksgiving.
