A Birthday Story...
Once upon a time there was a little princess named Riley Kait and her birthday was coming up. She wanted a party with all her family and friends sooo bad, but she didn't know how to do it all by herself.

Her Mommy and Daddy told her to close her eyes and make a wish, and if she truly wanted it, that it would come true. So she did as she was told and said "DADADA, MAMAMA, Smack!!" and waited to see what would happen...

Sure enough when she opened her eyes, she was surrounded by beautiful packages and everyone she loved. And they were all there for HER!!

Riley Kait (Lil' Q as her friends call her) was so excited she didn't know what to do. She got toys to play with, books to read, clothes to wear, babies to love and even a pair of cowgirl boots. WOO HOO!!

Next thing she knew her Mommy was wisking her up and putting her in her special birthday princess highchair, and in front of the little Queen she placed a pretty pink ball with something on top.

Miss Riley stuck her hand into the treat and tasted it...it was good, so good in fact that she made a HUGE mess. She got cake all over her face, hands, hair...even in her nose. (See her not wanting to share with King Daddy?)

After that was over Queen Mommy took her to the bathroom and and placed her in the royal tub. The little princess rather liked the chocolate goo. But it was also nice to be squeaky clean.

When the movie was over and all her friends had left, she took a bottle... and Princess Riley Kait Davis of Jeffersonia took the longest nap recorded in all baby history (for her anyway.) She and her Mommy went to sleep together on the sofa and she dreamed about the very best first birthday she ever had.
THE END

P.S. We just want to say thank you to everyone who celebrated this special day with us. Our baby girl is getting to be a big one. On this day she finally mastered the art of crawling forward and the day after she sat up all by herself from laying in the floor. Her newest triumph is waving (wether it be forward OR backwards) and yelling "EYEEEEE!!" Too cute. But again...

"Thank You"

OHHH!! The beauty of healthy ears...
and a little bit of spaghetti on the face too. We love spaghetti, MMMMMMM "smack" "smack" as Riley puts it.
We are so happy to be feeling better. It's amazing what a little bit of medicine can do for you. We go for our check-up on Wednesday and that Friday our Little Monster will be 1 year old.
It makes you a little sad to think in another year she'll be 2. But where would all of our mothers be if we all stayed infants forever. Probably a little crazy!
We hope everyone had a fabulous New Year and can stick to those resolutions...(I know I went by McDonalds earlier, FRENCH FRIES mmmm "smack" "smack")
